This Lil' Ranch with a Lotta Heart

and to share their wisdom

with every soul who walks through our gates

Unchain the Behaviour

We know that when our horse reacts to things, it can become extremely dangerous. Now imagine if your horse reacts to something and you also panic or fuel the fire by becoming angry, or impatient!

How about if our horse is demonstrating a lesser unsafe behaviour and we coddle them, thereby encouraging the behaviour.

Learn to determine and practise the appropriate response that will get you the safest outcome.

Connect Emotions and Behaviours to engage in positive relationships
Determine and Describe your horse’s personality and how your reactions affect the partnership you are building.
This course was developed by Leanne using her over 20 years human counseling experience to help people learn to read the most appropriate reaction to diffuse situations in and out of the barn.

About

Our Roots

About the owner

With more than 30 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator and Child and Youth Counselor, Leanne brings a lifetime of insight into learning, growth, and safety to every program she offers at her "lil ranch".  Now retired from her formal career, she blends her professional background with a deep love of horses to create lessons and workshops that are engaging, uplifting and grounded in best practises for both human and equine well being.

Leanne's own journey with horses began when her parents first set her on a saddle during a family vacation at the age of six.  This spark grew into a lifelong passion despite never owning a horse of taking formal lessons as a child.  That experience fuels her commitment to keeping prices accessible while maintaining professional standards, so that anyone with thte desire can share in the magic of horses.

Throughout her career and beyond, Leanne has championed those without a voice by supporting young and special needs children especially those who are non verbal, and advocating for animals of all species, while fostering meaningful connections between people and horses.

Today she continues that mission at Rayne's Ridge, inspiring confidence, compassion and partnership in every rider and horse she teaches.
